Thursday: Big Lunch

Today's adventure took me, and my two colleagues, out to UBC (University of British Columbia) where we teamed up with a few others organisations, including the Faculty of Forestry, to host a 'Commonwealth Big Lunch'.

The idea was, together with colleagues from the Commonwealth, to invite students from Commonwealth countries for lunch and a chat. This is ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in London next week. There are lots of these lunches taking place around the world.

It was great - we had a really good turnout, loads of animated chatter and fantastic food which we all supplied for the students. There was so much we had to send people off to get their friends so they could take food away. It is exam time so they do need feeding up.......
