Today's the day .......................... to take afternoon tea

If we're having proper posh afternoon tea in our house - as we did today - I always get out the posh china.

So this is it - it was made by the Paragon China Co which has since become part of Royal Doulton and the particular design is known as Belinda. The whole set was given to me as a present by my lovely mother-in-law many years ago. I can't remember if it was for a special occasion because it was certainly a very generous present.

I somehow imagine though that it gave her as much pleasure to give it, as it did me to receive it. We were both advocates of proper afternoon tea sipped from a fine bone china cup .............................
