Flying heron with reflection

This morning's walk to work....
The heron flew from one side of the canal to the other, stalked along the towpath for a while right in front of me, hunkered down into the reeds to look for breakfast for a few minutes, and then flew back across...

It's lovely to see, and really lovely that pretty much everyone stops to watch him too - busy people walking briskly to work, a group of teenage lads, a dog walker keeping her greyhound back as far as possible - time almost pauses for a few minutes while we watch.

And then off he flew, and we all got back on with our morning.
