Urban oak

A cold, misty, murky day - dank describes it perfectly. I sat at the computer for far too long and ended up with back ache, so went for a walk round our local streets before dinner. This old oak tree stands in a school playing field surrounded by housing, but still manages to look quite regal, and, when surrounded by mist, provides an impression of how the area might have looked a hundred years ago. Despite it being mid-April there's no sign of new leaves yet.
