Fenced out (or in)?

Took our friends to see Stonehenge as they'd never visited before. Looking for a different photo, this appealed to me. The stones are more accessible than they have been, but it still feels a manufactured trip as you are signposted along with hoards of other visitors and are unable to get close to the stones.
