Lava tube

The weather turned on us,  the mountains disappeared and the rain came down.  Back to yesterday's plan.  We travelled to Sao Vincente and, after a coffee stop,  we went down the lava tube caves.  It was a fascinating trip,  which also included a museum and 3D film all about the making of the island through volcanic activity.  I couldn't decide which picture to post but chose a different one from mum,  she has the tube with the water and reflections. 

After our picnic the rain came down hard so we drove along the coast a bit before returning to Sao Vincente to walk round the village and church.
