In a different place

Today we caught the train from Alnmouth to Durham - because we could really. But also it's a place we like and don't go to often enough. And there was another reason too.

A few weeks ago we called in to Seaham to visit an exhibition of artwork, which Blipper Jac (8) was involved in. We were both impressed with the work and, when we heard that a selection of it was being displayed in Durham, it made another reason for making the trip whilst we were up here.

The exhibition, called In the Footsteps of Eadfrith, by East Durham Artist Network, is on display at the World Heritage Site Visitor Centre, close to Durham Castle and Cathedral. Jac thinks the work looks good against the stone and I certainly agree - it is a lovely display and apparently has been very popular. Here are a few of the pieces, including some of Jac's which many Blippers will recognise from her 'work in progress' blips.

A dull day weatherwise, but an interesting day in a fine city. And I found Neptune (see extra).
