Crinan

Today was dry and bright a perfect day for a walk along the canal bank to Crinan. The reflections of the trees on the canal were beautiful, all those lovely russet colours with the occasional hint of red from the Rowan berries. When we arrived at Crinan there was a lot of maintenance work being done on the locks and not as many yachts as in May.
We went across to the coffee shop and had a bacon roll and a cup of tea and watched all the activity that was going on.
The walk back to Cairnbaan was just as lovely and quite a few people were out walking along the canal enjoying the lovely day.
We had afternoon tea at the Kilmartin House Museum cafe, lemon drizzle cake today.
The view from the cafe down Kilmartin Glen is quite spectacular and a lovely way to end this beautiful day.
