Birthday snuggles

for Mama.

I find it thoroughly adorable how delighted my birthday makes Katie. She loves trying to find ways to make it special. She came into me about 4 and whispered happy birthday before going back to sleep. She sang Happy Birthday to me about 530, then went back to sleep. Finally, about 7.15, she got up to make me a cup of tea & bring me some cards etc. She’d brought back a balloon and some pink glow sticks. A friend had taken her shopping last week & by herself Katie had chosen me a beautiful present and coordinated it with wrapping paper from another shop. She was super proud of herself for that!

First day back and we were late for school drop off- we havent properly made the switch to BST yet! She was extra happy when I picked her up from school.

Grandad and granny came for tea. Katie was rather on the edge of throwing a wobbler for a lot of the evening. Despite her protestations, she seemed a very tired little girl. We had a very yummy Chinese takeaway for tea & Mama got some lovely presents. I think I must be a proper grown up- receiving requested lavender plants for the garden made me very happy!
