Stopping power

I noticed this text on my bike's brake rotor today. A warning to anyone thinking of putting steel based pads in the brake calipers. Perish the thought.

Apparently resin pads have greater stopping power, but don't last as long as steel ones. Not that I care as I found out today as some arse in an Evo 8 decided to nearly knock me off my trusty steed.

For those interested my bike is a Cannondale bad boy 650. Nice bike for my 12 mile commute to work.
