Forest within a Forest

Out walking the dogs today in the woods I saw this tree stump with it's own little forest, I used my iPhone to get a quick snap and as it looked so cool I came back in the afternoon with Murphy and my macro.  But I think I do need to get a proper tripod and go back and to do it better, as I don't feel I got enough in focus.  I think the black things sticking up that look like trees are some form of fungus (hopefully someone on Blip will know), there was tiny puff-ball fungi on there too but I couldn't get it all in.  What I loved most were the tiny hairs on the Herb Robert which had caught the rain drops.
