Lesser Calandine
Lovely walk in the mist with all three dogs. Walked past the park and into the Moss Valley.
Muddy paths but reached the woods and came across Ranunculus ficaria, commonly known as lesser celandine, Pilewort or fig buttercup, which is a low-growing bulbous perennial herb.
The word celandine is taken from the Greek word chelidon, meaning swallow.
The Celandines are found throughout Europe.
