Meet Charlie!
Charlie is Eda's friend and is 3 months older than her.
He can stand up and has just started crawling. He's a real 'he' man as you can see he looks very athletic in his vest.
For all that energy he needs lots of food. This afternoon we went to Charlie's house for afternoon tea that his mum Lou had provided for Monday Club (mums get-together). He made a bee line for the cakes on the coffee table. Not sure if he managed to eat any but he demolished three pieces.
Here you can see him after he had finished his tea. He ate cucumber slices and apple slices whilst his mum fed him vegetable puree. Pretty sure he enjoyed it, he certainly ate it all and got it everywhere (maybe that's why his elephant jumper was removed!)
He's a real character and has a softer side as he kissed Martha who is twice his age and also had a kiss for Eda quite spontaneously.
We had a treat today as new mum Ruth came with three week old Leila. Last time I was with them she was due that week.
A nice way to spend a wet afternoon. Two of the mums were rushing off for the dress rehearsal tonight of Jekyll and Hyde and Grace is out tonight for the first rehearsal of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
I'm in charge again!
Eda had sweet potoato for her tea, it went down well and she seemed to like the parsnip and apple I made yesterday which she tried a bit of after her porridge this morning.
Whilst out this morning we went to a nearby alterations shop as Grace has bought some trousers with a fancy hem which she wants shortening. Usefully it was next door to a delightful little Italian Cafe. We had coffee and toasted Panetone and bought some things for lunch. An Arancini and a Mozzarella and roasted Aubergine sandwich to share. Grace bought several other goodies from this delightful little shop including some cheese with pistachios. A great little find and not far away.
No wonder I eat too much when I come down here, Charlie's not on his own liking his food!
