Berlin Day 1 - Berliner Dom

Day 1 of our holiday; we arrived 2 hours late after an issue with the flight, but to the most gorgeous sunny weather.

We went first to Museum Island, a Unesco World Heritage Site,  and spent some time in the amazing Pergamon Museum. It is still under renovation, so we both felt it would be well worth returning some day. The Ishtar Gate was astonishing. My pictures didn't do it justice (see one of the extras). 

Then it was Berliner Dom. We almost didn't go in, but so glad we did. Its astonishing inside, and my lead picture is the inside of the Dome. We then climbed up to the top, and walked around the outside of the top, with some amazing views of Berlin.
