Hereby hangs a tale....

I happened to be going to the rubbish dump today. I am  a bit of a squirrel but my wife is fortunately the great declutterer. I thought a shot of the today's rubbish would make a good choice for the mono monday challenge - 'every picture tells a story'. It's almost every item tells a story. There are a couple of car seats which have serve a whole generation of grandchildren (nine in all) so they bring back memories of of our grandchildren at their earliest stages of development. There is our old freeview box which reminds me of the days when TV programme choice was a lot more limited. Finally there is a black bag of old photos which bring back memories of holidays and family gatherings and of my obsession with photography. I have a large chest of drawers in the garage which is full of old photos. I am gradually trying to work through them to keep just the more memorable ones and as you can imagine the whole process is by nature full of nostalgia.
