Eastern tip viewpoint

After a lazy start we set out to explore the South East coast. There was a strong wind most of the day and low cloud and rain!

Drove up through the mountains through Camacha and Santo Antonio to Machico where we stopped on the front. The rain soon caught up with us and we had to dodge the showers. After exploring the village we went up the hill to Pico do Facho for a fantastic vista over Machino and also out to the end of the island. 

Having made sure mum didn't fall it was me who fell when I was too busy looking at the scenery to see the hole in the road! A knight in shining armour came to my rescue though. I was more concerned with my camera which also fell. Apart from bruises and scrape I think both me and the camera survived.

On then to the end of the island and the end of the road at Miradoro. Stunning cliffs as you can see. 

Apart from the strong wind we were actually lucky with the weather.
