MM220 - every picture tells a story

You can't usually tell from a book cover whether you are going to enjoy the story, it's the author which attracts in the first instance. In this trio, one unfamiliar author made for an excellent read about the job of a coroner in this case Army related, so will try to get other books by him.
Gervase Phinn is well known for his amusing tales when he was a School Inspector and I have read most of his books. This I know will be an easy and entertaining story.
The third book is also a new author, it may not get read.
