FUN BY THE SEA

The weather has been glorious this weekend so I thought I had better share it with you all.  Especially as I know my friends and rellies had rain.

For the first time this year it was shorts and no coat.  We worked in the garden, planting, mowing and of course walking the dogs.

In this capture you can see the original large rocks placed here about 30 years ago to stop the River Gannel from wandering across the beach.  Sadly they have now sunk and river wanders where it will trapping holidaymakers when the tide comes in.  The poor Lifeguards had a tough time last year.  And this year they cannot access their base due to the high tides and wind/rain erosion.  They commence again in May so something will have to be done!
