Soup Kit

The doorbell rang about half past seven. A across the road had delivered a Soup Kit*.

She'd bought a ham hock the other day which had "a ton of meat" on the bone still.
"I'm sure you'll want to make a pot of soup out of it"
"Eh, ok then........ Thanks....."
