Chickasaw Village

Wednesday we visited the Chickasaw Nation Cultural Center in Southern Oklahoma. What an amazing place! It was about a weeks worth of Social Studies lessons in one day for the kids....they got to see, hear, watch and do so much. We toured the village, looked at the corn,squash and bean plants growing together (we have studied this in our lessons so that was great to see)...We watched a video on the history of the Chickasaw nation and toured the wonderful exhibit center AND we made bead bracelets with a lovely Chickasaw lady. Fabulous, can't wait to go again.
