Horses in the Mist

We managed to get out of the house by 10.30 this morning. It's no coincidence that we left the children at home.
The 4 of us did a great walk from Ambleside, around Wansfell via Jenkins Crag. It was fairly strenuous with some steep, rocky sections. and I imagine the views were pretty spectacular but we couldn't see a thing for the thick mist which surrounded us.
It didn't spoil the walk, we still saw a lot and it felt good to be out in the fresh air. 
The walk descended into the middle of Ambleside and we headed straight to the pub for lunch and a much needed pint of beer.

Sam's been cooking a rib of beef this evening and we're all looking forward to a good roast dinner and a few glasses of wine.
