Stunned

I had one of the toughest choices ever tonight of the photo to use. I ruled against a shot of eight horses on a Wilsonville farm for this one, a young goldfinch who stunned itself against the kitchen window. It sat on the patio for awhile, and when I picked it up it sat calmly in my hand for several minutes. I finally got it to sit on my index finger, then it flew away into the upper branches of a back yard fir tree. May have to move the feeder to avoid further window collisions. These photo decisions are really tough.
