Tree moving

For many years I have had a small apple tree in a pot in my garden, it came with us from Scotland.  I has not been doing so well and I wanted to move it to the allotment.  It was a lovely dry day so we got busy and set about getting it out of the pot, it was not keen to come out but we managed.  A big black sack held the soil around the roots and the tree was put on my lap in our convertible car and with the roof down the height was no issue.  The allotment is only a few miles away so a slowish drive got us there with no damage to the tree or me (it was quite heavy). I did get a few funny looks on the way but it did seem like the easiest way to move it.

New hole dug and tree put in, hopefully it will be okay and will enjoy the more open environment at the allotment.
