First Day of Winter

In Iceland this is officially the first day of winter. People serve an indigenous meat soup downtown for everybody that passes by, but I missed that because I was umpiring most of the day. It is a fairly small tournament, but even so, feelings flare high and it was quite tiring.

A little walk in the rain, down to the river was refreshing. The whole swan family is still around, it will be interesting when the kids will be kicked out.
