Paying The Penalty
Yeovil's goalkeeper, Stuart Nelson, gets nowhere near a penalty from Luton's Danny Hylton which put The Glovers 2-0 down. our left back Ryan Dickson was sent off for the foul which led to the penalty and was joined for an early bath not long after by our captain Francois Zoko who took exception to a Luton player refusing to give the ball back for our free kick and tried to punch the ball out of his hands.
The Luton players made the most of both situations with Oscar-style performances but the two most senior players in our side should have known better than to give them the opportunity and been far more professional.
Considering we played the majority of the game with only 9 players we did well to only lose 3-0, especially as we lost 8-2 to them with 11 players in the first game of the season, but it has to be said that Luton were happy to save their energy for future games in the second half.
It was a disappointing last game of the season for me: we're off on holiday next Saturday, so I'll miss the remaining 3 home games. Hopefully though we'll be safe from relegation by the time I get back just before the last game of the season away at Lincoln.
