where shall we go on that big, black night?

Had day 1 of my 'photographing people' course today! It was really fun and exciting to be using studio lights, reflectors, tripods.....so cool. I spent hours experimenting with different angles, lights, shadows and stuff. Looking forward to the next class already.

We also did a bit of street photography, experimenting with panning to try and keep the subject in focus with everything else blurred. I couldn't get it right at all but I want(ed) to keep trying as I think it could be a fun way of turning a boring photo a bit more interesting.

Looking back I have some really nice portraits of some of the other people in the class - but can't really post them on here just yet - sooooo instead, here's my attempt at doing a bit of panning at foot level in Piccadilly Circus. These 3 girls were walking along but somehow their feet happened to be stationary at the exact same time, which created this composition which makes me laugh for some reason It's not perfect, but I quite like how random it is.

Hmmmmmmm this time tomorrow I will be in Berlin - yay!
