Terrapin Station

A song by Grateful Dead if I remember correctly. In this case, the wildlife here in the pond in Sempione Park, in Milan is rather different to that of the Figgate Burn in Edinburgh.
The ducks look similar, but those shapes on the willow are actually terrapins, the pond is full of them as well as a surprisingly large number of varieties of quite large fish.
Early night tonight, heading off for the 9.00am start of Ali's marathon at 6.30 in the morning. If you arrive after 7.45 at your gate they won't guarantee you'll be able to start in the correct group.
Tomorrow is going to be interesting, Ali will be running, as I rush around Milan on the metro (they gave me a day ticket) trying to cheer her on at various places. See extra. Think I'll be exhausted by the end of it too. All over by lunchtime though. What an exciting day ahead of us.
