Hidcote Manor Garden

Before lunch we went to Clifford Chambers to visit the wood-burning stove showroom.  Spurred on by the successful installation of one  at CoffeePotter  I started thinking about a woodburner for here.  As is my wont I take quite a while of research and contemplation and finally we took the decision to have a look. We saw a very interesting stove that could be used as inset or freestanding that we liked, first step completed.

From there we went to Hidcote Manor Garden, a National Trust property in the Cotswolds, for a spot of lunch and and wander round.  The gardens were looking very spring like, even in the dull light of the day, with budding bushes and trees, flowers, and lambs in the fields.  There was a mass of daffodils with some still waiting to flower, also beds of primroses, scilla and hellebore, even a few snake's head fritillaria.
