At the lake

It was thankfully a little cooler today when we set off on the same 11k walk that we tackled back in November. It was still warm enough however for us to think that a little cooling off would benefit the dog.

Nell retrieved her stick once or twice but as it was thrown further and further out she became increasingly doubtful. Nell is a dog of strong opinions and one of them appears to be that learning to swim at her age is not a very good idea. Ultimately her stick was left to float neglected. Anyone who knows Nell and her sticks will appreciate therefore the strength of her feeling on the matter.

I got all the way around with just one stop for lunch. A considerable improvement on our last circuit. My ankles seem to be improving by leaps and bounds and I am happy about that.

Walk done in t-shirt and shorts and we managed to avoid the forecast rain.
