Mi Gusta

I love a rooftop shot.  All that colour and interest.  Those blue domes were right beside our hotel and had a metallic quality to the slates.  Up high on the castle ramparts we could see for miles and miles.  There were no barriers or fences off areas stopping us from harming ourselves.  People were allowed to use their common sense.

I am a little taken aback by the beauty of Alicante - it's not at all what I had expected and quite a little delight.  The weather is hotting up daily as the snow falls at home.

My Spanish, which has not been spoken for many years, and badly back then, is having to be dusted off and hablo (ed) muchas.  It's terrifiying and exciting.  We would never have found the road and tunnel to the castle otherwise and goodness knows what we would be eating.
