In These Shoes?

Never before have I seen snowboarders walking down my residential street like they own it!  A tea tray simply won't cut it these days.
Later I walked into town and back for the guests who never came.  It was inevitable really but I was concerned that they would open the airport in time for their early morning flight.
No buses and no shops with bread or milk.  No cafes on the way back either - only snow.  My thighs have been well exercised.  I was pleased to see the Social Bite cafe managed to open and was welcoming anyone who just wanted to sit in the warmth.
