Lichen

A day spent quietly around home catching up on things and planning for our coming tour of Scotland.  In the afternoon Clickychick suggested we walk down to the church, so she would put some of our home grown daffodils on he Mum's grave.

While there I was paying great attention to the old grave stones.  Since my course with Cumbria Wildlife Trust I am still struggling to get my head round the various genuses of Lichen.  I took a few photos so that is what you are getting.

I am tentatively identifying this one as a Rhizocarpon.  If I was pushed to try to get to species level I would suggest reductum.  However I am sure there is somebody out there who can put me right :-))  (You know who you are).
