Emerging Magnolia

Last year it was just a bare stick - then it produced some small branches and leaves. I was warned it may not flower for 3 years but this year I noticed there were two types of bud - quite a lot of smooth ones and six  'woolly' ones which,  over the past two days have begun to split and show the flowers within. This is the most advanced - I will blip it again when it is fully out.
