Barm Cakes

Where I come from these are better known as bark cakes which leads to the nickname of barmy oven bottom cakes.

Unfortunately the wholemeal bread we usually eat have started to give me a rum tum if I eat more than one slice, s of I'm having a couple of these tonight, filled with bacon. NOM NOM
