The Winter Took

Lemon Ditty

The winter took the topmost branch(es)
Of our rented lemon tree.
The snow, the wind, the freezing rain
Combined as one in three.
Her brightset leaves are shrivelled now
To a sullen tissue grey
But with pruning and some fertilizer
She'll see another day.

It is hot today. And I've pruned the olive trees with the help of this guy's very good videos.

Things are looking up.
