Chop chop

Oh this hair. I shaved. My head in August of 2013. It's been nearly 5 years since then and this is where we are. It's so amazing to me that hair will always grow back. Always. It reminds me that every aspect of me is not my whole identity, is not who I am, and that every aspect of me can change. Just like this hair. Which is why after nearly 5 years of growing it out, and feeling ugly, and vulnerable, and pretty, and confident, and lazy, and frustrated, and happy, I am going to chop it all off.

Mostly because long hair sucks, haha. It's way too much work for a district 19 6th grade science teacher. Ain't nobody got time for that.
