Snow on the Hills

Went to check out the venue for Saturday's wedding and then popped in to see our friends J and G who live just down the road. Then it was into town to meet L at the Filmhouse for a screening of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie - the Maggie Smith version. Filmhouse 1 was packed. I did wonder if they were trolling us or just not thinking - a film based on a book written by a woman, with a woman in the lead and featuring the lives of the young girls she was teaching, in front of an audience that on a rough scan was probably 75% women, was introduced to us by a man whose only qualification for his role appeared to be that he has a blog on Scottish culture.
