Some Days Are Better Than Others

Well... the day after the night before... we'd had about 4 inches of wet snow overnight followed by a freeze so woke to a beautiful blue sky morning.  But as I left for work I saw some lambs that had not made it through the night... they must have been soaked through then froze... oh dear. And all the hard work getting them to this stage.. hmmm. I can't recall weather like this at this time of year.. it's been a weird winter, the fields are still sodden, we need some heat!

I had planned to blip the blue sky until I caught this view on return from work. There is still snow lying, but it's going this time and not coming back, yeah?
