Hollow tree

The side has split away from this tree, and the hollow centre seems to have bark on the inside. I'm not sure how that happened, but perhaps it's really two trees and not one.

Today is beautiful and sunny, the first really good day of the year. If this is the start of better weather it means the garden will burst into vigorous growth and we'll be busy trying to keep on top of things. My tomato seeds are germinating and the lettuces have come through too, so there'll be no let-up for a month or two now.
