For my special blipday I have decided to pay homage to this wonderful site that has brought us all together.

It's hard to believe that 1 year ago I didn't even know this site existed then I found out no. 2 son and his wife (then fiance) were posting daily blips. I started logging on and checking out their journal - it was a good way of keeping up to date with how they were progressing with their wedding plans without feeling as though I was pestering them for every minute detail.

At this early stage I found OzBeachcomber and I was hooked. I published my first blip on 2nd January and within 14 days I had hooked up with some wonderful photographers who inspired me to carry on - Seniormoments, hcalibrarian, Skyegirl, Scottie5, Jinglyjan, RichardDonkin, and Naturelover ....

....... which brings me nicely to todays blip - a parcel from across the Atlantic, a baby blanket for my forthcoming first grandchild. A handmade blanket from Michigan, made by a very special lady and one I am proud to call 'friend'. I doubt very much if Naturelover and I will ever meet but I can always hope that I am given the opportunity to thank her personally for such a lovely gift.

Friendships made with people we have never met and a special site that has brought us all together.
