Songkran preparation

Songkran will be celebrated on Friday, 13 April this year. It is the first day of the Thai New Year.
Songkran means 'astronomical passage'. Because it marks the end of the dry season and the beginning of the wet season. Although, this year the rains seem to have already arrived.
Today's blip was made at the entrance of a shopping center. The idea is to collect some water in the bowl and pour it on the sitting Buddha. A symbolic religious way to thank for the coming monsoon period.
