Bye Mum

Because of the long weekend here in NZ over Easter, we weren't able to cremate Mum until today.

We waved her off with a very small private family farewell like she wanted.  Just Dad, us kids (all in our 50's) and a few of her grandchildren.  Dad got to drive her to the chapel in the left hand drive Cadillac hearse.  Pretty cool.  Photo in extras.

The larger public farewell will be held on the weekend.

Today we used the crematorium chapel at the Wakapuaka Cemetery.  A beautiful setting.  This is looking back down the entrance drive.
