Butterflies?

The snow from yesterday was completely gone by this morning.
This is week one of the butterfly monitoring season at Longshaw, so Ranger Mark took a few of us along the transect so we’d be more confident to follow it when our
allotted weeks arrive. My first week is not till next month. It was certainly a better day weather wise - some showers but also some sunshine and much warmer, but unsurprisingly no butterflies today. Walking was quite hard work as it was very muddy following all the snow and rain, but it was good to be out in the fresh air!
