Kill or cure

So, the best way to get rid of a three-week cough and cold is to inspect the pond pump right?

I wanted to steal some pond plants and a couple of fish from some good friends and, as the plant-rescuing dogs are going into kennels for a week from tomorrow, what better day to choose than one where it is lashing down with rain?

It took me forever to catch a couple of fish as the only one my pal Juliet wanted me NOT to take was the very one that kept swimming into the net. Anyway, I finally caught two and gathered up some plants and snails from her well-established pond.

Once I got them home I put the fish in the pond and they instantly disappeared. Ali assures me they are just hiding in the bottom. Of course I feared that they'd found themselves clamped to the side of the over enthusiastic pump which is why I found myself in the water. But of course they weren't stuck, so I needn't have bothered.

Anyway, they'll have a bit of peace for a week as the pond will be dog-free for once.

If I don't blip tomorrow you'll know the cold water got the better of me.
