In summary, a week off and just wondering what words might best describe it. Not sure I can think of any that might remotely get it.
I suppose various things got done. Not as much as I imagined.
The van collected - costly and mixed emotions.
Simon, the chap employed by the holiday cottage letting company came to fix a new fence after next door’s old one succumbed to storm Emma or whichever storm it was. He left the old one for to use for kindling. Breaking that lot up has kept me entertained on and off for a few days and will continue to do so for a while yet.
A walk each day and various objectives or something of interest to try to spur some kind of motivation.
Rubbish sleep. Body feeling wrecked and dead. Thermostat up the creek. If crying was an Olympic sport I’d be up for gold.
A wet old day today so sat and sorted some of the endless stuff.
Sympathy cards. Hate them but still don’t seem to be able to chuck ‘em.
P’s old school report, ‘A good lad but chatters too much. He has done well this term, but a little extra effort in Mathematics is called for. Has interesting creative ability. Woodwork poor.’
I so miss his chatting.
