London parakeets

Not words that normally go together! Sis and I headed down to the big smoke for a couple of days today. We are staying in a hotel just outside the gates of Richmond Park, so after dumping our gear we went for a walk.

the weather was rubbish but it didn't stop us taking lots of shots. Got some nice enough shots of a kestrel but it wouldn't turn round and didn't fancy blipping just it's back! Also got some cracker deer shots but will leave that to sis to blip.
Also bizarrely saw Anton Oliver. thought I was seeing things but when I looked him up he does indeed work in London and so if it wasn't him it was his doppelgänger 
Kept hearing this awful screeching sound and then caught a glimpse of green and realised they were parakeets. Remembered once watching a programme about the wild ones in London. Saw lots this evening !
