Inside or out?

It was a relatively bright and sunny morning but Bruno Mars could not make his mind up - whether to come out or stay inside. He is currently overseeing a couple of hens that lay their eggs on the nesting boxes of his house.

By lunchtime the weather had changed and it rained yet again. Yesterday I listened to a radio programme about mud, called " I love Mud ". Obviously the participants have not been in our chicken field or they would be feeling different. With each drop of rain the clay soil gets muddier and more slippery, and it's hard to keep upright. Poor Hoppy goose was having difficulty standing still to eat and the chickens have mud up to their knees! Needless to say the ducks love it. Perhaps they wrote the narrative for the radio.
