Weeping Wych Elm

One of the last. There are a few left in the cemetery, this one is in Queens Gardens. I had them injected in the 70's when I had responsibility for trees and was the contact for DED (Dutch Elm Disease), but being low growing they had a natural defence against the beetles. I am noticing more signs of the disease now that there is regrowth in some of the old (30yr) stumps.
