A lovely evening

Today we had a family Seder at Manda and Andrew's home, their first as a married couple. They did a beautiful job. The table was set with the silver Passover plate and cup they had received as a wedding gift. In their beautiful condo right near the water and just blocks from the Space Needle, everything glowed and shone. The meal was delicious and we all enjoyed ourselves.

That's when things really got strange. The temperature dropped to 41 degrees, and it began to hail, coming down really hard. Then there was a flash of lightning and two rumbles of thunder, and suddenly it was raining. The rain lasted about 10 minutes, and was just stopping as we left for home. On the road, within a few minutes we suddenly had a heavy downpour of wet snow. It was just letting up as we reached my door. And yet the sun was shining when we first arrived at the condo. Go figure. I hoped to include a shot of the Space Needle as an extra, but since I'm doing this on my phone, I can't figure out how.
