Easter Sunday

I go to church, and I'm thankful to be at an age and part of my life where I can say that as a matter of fact. I don't expect any weird comments or funny looks. I also don't go on about it. If people want to ask more then they will. Otherwise it's as much a statement of life, in the same way I say "I go to work" and "I love wine". It is what it is.

I'm lucky to have always gone to the same one, bar some occassional ventures across Glasgow as a younger woman when I had my flats. The one I'm in is about as standard Church of Scotland as you can get. I tried some different styles, and some more em unusual off shoots but none for me. With the wee one in tow, and an atheist husband, I don't get involved much these days apart from on Sunday mornings.

Today was great. Who says church is boring. Today we ate chocolate during the service, laughed, did some craft and some almighty singing. It's also great that a lot of people in this photo are people who I was little with, who now have their own little kids and families and have all gravitated back. We aren't all overly "religious", whatever that means, but it's nice to be a part of something like this.

Also, this is Spring!!
